하춘생
Dr. Ha Choon-Sang is a professor in charge of the Department of Buddhist Temple Management at GraduateSchool of Management, Dongguk University, and is the Director of Wooseong Research Institute of Buddhist Studies & Culture. His Dhamma name is Wooseong (宇晟). He received the precepts from Ven. Master Cheonghwa (淸華) at Taean-sa emple in Gokseong, Jeollanam-do Province. He is regarded a pioneer in the field of Korean Bhikkhuni Dhamma family research and is an expert on Korean Bhikkhun？s, a group that has historically been marginalized and disparaged by Korea’s traditionally male-dominated mainstream Buddhism. This English version should be a very valuable resource for a better understanding of Bhikkhun？s and their history, not only here in Korea but around the world.
저자 소개
지은이 : 하춘생
법명은 우성(宇晟). 전남 곡성 태안사에서 청화(淸華)스님께 받아 지녔다. 현재 동국대학교 경영전문대학원 사찰경영과정 주임교수 겸 불교대학 외래교수이다. (사)한국불교학회 감사와 동국대 불교학과 동문회 감사를 맡고 있다. 최초의 ‘한국의 비구니열전’이라고 할 만한 『깨달음의 꽃:한국불교를 빛낸 근세비구니』(전2권)를 펴낸 주인공이며, ‘한국의 비구니문중 연구’의 개척자로 평가받고 있다.
(사)한국불교학회 법인이사·한국불교기자협회 회장·한국종 교언론인협의회 대표의장·한국종교인평화회의(KCRP) 운영 위원 등을 지냈으며, (사)한국불교학회 공로패·조계종 전국비구니회 감사패·동국대 석림동문회 감사패·한국불교기자협회 공로패·문화관광부장관 표창 등을 수상했다.
「현대 정보사회에서 팔경법의 적용문제 고찰」·「노천월하의 포교인식과 실천이념」·「비구니 본공의 선풍진작과 법맥상승」 등의 논문과 『한국의 비구니문중』·『현대불교사의 이해와 실천사상』·『한국불교현대사』(공저)·『불교상식백과』(전2권/공저) 등의 저서가 있다.
